NaNoWriMo 2014 Pep Talk!

Hello lovely blog readers!

Did I just hear a – a chorus of groans? You know it’s coming, don’t you. NaNoWriMo is upon us, and we have just over a week left to prepare. What is NaNoWriMo, you ask? Well, luckily for you, I’ve just posted my annual NaNoWriMo video – explaining the event and giving tips/advice to anyone out there who might be interested in participating.

Also, if you’ve been watching my videos for at least a year, there’s a chance I may call you out by name. Why? Well… you’ll see. *evil laughter* *more evil laughter* *even more evil – wait I have to write a novel too, I don’t have time for three rounds of evil laughter, I’m off to brainstorm whatever the heck I’m writing this year*

Gah! I can’t believe it’s that time of year again! I’ve participated every year since about 2008, and only won twice, but despite failing the challenge I’ve been very proud of the progress I’ve made on stories. I’m participating again this year and feel much more prepared from learning from my success and failures.

Anyways, I’m already writing buddies with you on the site from a couple years ago! xD

Ugggh. Way to guilt-trip…in a positive way, haha. I’ve been hearing you talk about NaNoWriMo since I was sixteen, and wanting to participate since then. That’s six years of unrequited novel-writing! I’ve always got book ideas floating around in my head, but I never actually sit down and write them. I think you’ve convinced me, though. This year will be the year I finally try. I added you as a writing buddy with the name sierraeggleston!

Hi Kristina!! This is my first year doing NaNoWriMo; I am only old enough for the young writer’s program. I love to write and you are my Wrimo role model! I love all your Youtube videos and I watch them when I start to lose hope.
