I can’t even tell you what getting to dress up as Sailor Moon meant to me. I’ve been a life long Sailor Moon fan, so that alone made this cosplay worth all the pains of gluing blonde synthetic hair to styrofoam balls and working with stretchy fabric. This is an extremely cheesy and sort of embarrassing anecdote, but I am going to share it anyway: when I was 11 one of my friends and I used to always fight over who got to “be” Sailor Moon, and I basically always lost on account of not being quite as confrontational. But I can now say, over fifteen years later… who’s Sailor Moon now, bitch?
